At Miller Pine Meadows, horses and riders are developed through the principles of equine biotensegrity—where strength, soundness, and performance are cultivated through balance, from the inside out.




In this program, traditional riding instruction is exceeded through a program built on a deep understanding of how the horse’s body functions and adapts, ensuring that every ride contributes to long-term soundness, correct movement, and sustainable performance.
Whether developing a young horse, refining a performance partner, or supporting rehabilitation, each program is guided by one fundamental principle: balance. It is the foundation of strength, coordination, and resilience—and the key to creating horses that not only perform, but remain sound in doing so.
Central to this approach is the development of appropriate fitness. Horses must build the necessary strength, muscle mass, and overall body condition to support the demands placed upon them. Without this foundation, the risk of injury increases. Through progressive, balance-based conditioning, horses are developed into well-prepared athletes capable of performing with durability and longevity.
Through this approach, training becomes purposeful and progressive, allowing both horse and rider to develop with clarity, confidence, and lasting results.

The following photo slideshow in the circles features an OTTB (Off the Track Thoroughbred) named Princeton, who was rehabilitated using specialized Biotensegrity training. Three different techniques can be used to train and rehabilitate: lunging, in-hand work, and a way of riding that differs significantly from what is traditionally taught. The difference in his fitness, body mass, and overall way of moving is remarkable.
